Sheetsplint - mihkel masso

Sheetsplint is universal rescue splint for rescue and military medics to immobilise extremity fractures in pre-hospital settings. It is lightweight and modular - consisting of identical foldable modules it allows to use a single kit for multiple and different splintings.

Previous splints on market lack effective multi-purpose immobilisation functionality forcing medical first responders to haul several splinting products in their medkits and those products fail to provide effective immobilisation to long bone fractures.

Sheetsplint kit consists of four identical moduless that can be combined to fit several or combined injuries: 4 forearms; 2 forearms and 1 elbow or ankle; 1 elbow and 1 ankle; etc. The product offers almost endless flexibility to the medic. It is ultimately suitable for mass-casualty incidents.

Kit weighs 450 grams and is folded into a compact flat pack for easy storage and transportation purposes. It is made of re-usable plastic, it resist temperatures between -100…+80C and is X-ray transparent. From 2020 it is being used by several NATO member states, field hospitals and training
